How Tony Robbins Mastered The Money Game
By Paul Esajian on November 13, 2015Tony Robbins has gone from being a life performance coach to a master of the money game. How did he really do it? How can his insight help you with your real estate and financial goals?
Tony Robbins is best known as a life coach, speaker, and mentor to billionaire leaders, but he is also one of the greatest philanthropists out there. With his recent book, ‘Money: Master the Game,’ Robbins has also become a highly influential and respected investment adviser.
Tony doesn’t hide the fact that he started out living in his car. Today, he feeds millions of individuals. In the pit of the U.S. financial crisis, he reportedly made an estimated $30M in 2007. In an interview with Palm Beach Illustrated, Tony Robbins revealed more about his four homes, including his new purchase of an almost $30 million ocean front property in Florida. Leaving a legacy was one of the most important things to him.
Not everyone is a fan of the ‘self-help’ genre. So looking behind the scenes; how did Tony make this massive leap? How can that help you in your mission to buy your dream home, hit your real estate investment goals, or win in the real estate business?
He Read LOTS of Books
In order to change his world and future, Tony said he set out to read a book a day when he was homeless. While he admits he hasn’t quite sustained that pace, he did read over 700 books in a few years.
He Got Mentors
Every great coach, leader, and athlete has a great coach and mentor, or many. Robbins set out to learn as much as he could from other successful people, and continues the practice today; learning as much from legendary finance experts as he teaches them.
He Interviewed People
Throughout this process, he has continued to interview the greatest minds. He is on a constant mission to learn from others by asking questions.
He Serves Others
Tony’s real mission is helping and serving others. He does this through his foundation, his venture to feed 100 million people, and transforming lives through his coaching events, books, and individual sessions. It has clearly served him well. What separates Robbins from many others is that those that meet him and know him all seem to agree on his genuine passion for serving others. In other words, it is his priority. It’s not just a tagline to make more money.
Similarities Between Robbins Approach & Other Successful Leaders
Tony’s giant sized success is linked to many of the same building blocks and principles of other great legends. Whether it is Warren Buffett, U.S. presidents, athletes, or business leaders, they all share similar stories.
Replicating Success in Real Estate
So what does all of this mean for you? Whether you want to buy a fabulous home, scale your real estate investments, or launch a real estate investment firm, there are lots of clues from Robbins’ own story and progress to replicate. Some things to consider:
- What can you read to help you get ahead?
- When can you set aside time to read and study each day?
- Do you have a list of questions to ask successful people when you meet them?
- Where can you find a few of your own mentors and coaches?
- How can you help more other people through your real estate venture?
- How can you find more passion in life, and in what you are doing in real estate?
- If Tony can go from homeless to multi-millionaire, owner of fantastic properties, and money master, can’t you replicate that success too?
