Every Business Needs An Internet Presence

By on May 12, 2014

Whether we like it or not, the Internet has changed how we live. Most new buyers will look to the Internet before going to a realtor. Prospective business partners will do a quick Google search or glance at social media platforms to provide them with clues as to whom they are working with. Subsequently, if you want your investing business to grow you need to be accessible online. The best way to showcase you and your business is through your website. If people can’t find you or your website online, they will be more hesitant to work with you. This is the reality of the business environment in which we find ourselves.

The beauty of today’s internet is that even if you aren’t tech savvy you can quickly find someone who is. You don’t necessarily need all of the bells and whistles some other websites offer, but you do need something somewhat modern looking. There are some prospective realtors, investors and even sellers who will get their first and only impression of you based on what they see on your website. This can play in your favor if the site looks sharp, but it can also work against you if it is old and dated.

In addition to any current or previous listings, people that visit your site want to know a little bit about you and how you operate. The best way to exhibit this is by adding a daily video blog. While the idea of a video blog may be intimidating to some, it is much easier than you may think. All you need is about ten minutes of your day, a camera with a tripod and someone to take the video for you. A quick, simple 90 second post about something topical in the real estate or investing world can go a long way. This gives visitors a glimpse of your personality and some knowledge of who you are. People like to work with people they feel comfortable with and a video will start to put them at ease.

You can also use your website for networking and developing a buyers list. Every new property that is obtained can be quickly added to your website. If you can incorporate a video tour of the property, you can have some of them sold much quicker than you could ever imagine. You can also incorporate social media to get people back to your website. The more traffic you can get, the quicker your properties will sell and the more people will want to work with you. It all starts with content, activity and design. A good site does not cost nearly as much as it has in the past or as much as you may think. If you are on the fence, you would be wise to start with your website. You may be able to get a few deals from a mailing, but eventually you will need a strong website if you want to grow your business.

Every business needs an internet presence and investors are not excluded. This is where relationships are now made and buyers and sellers start the buying process. If you don’t want to miss out, you need a solid website.
